Our Story

Sisters in Arms is an Australian-owned brand for the women who serve in the military, police, paramedics, fire and rescue, and corrections, and for the people who back them.

I'm Shannon. I joined the Queensland Police Service in 2012 and the Army Reserve in 2022. I'm a former Army wife and now an Army mum to two full-time serving soldiers. Two of my sisters are veterans, and so are three of my brothers-in-law. Service isn't just my job. It's my family.

Over the years, one thing kept bugging me. Scroll through Instagram or look for service merch and you'll find endless pages and gear for the blokes. For the women? Almost nothing. We're the minority in these fields, and too often we're the forgotten ones.

I waited for someone else to fix that. Nobody did. So I did.

Sisters in Arms started as an Instagram page celebrating women working in male-dominated fields. It's grown into a community, and our merch is our team wear. When you wear it, you're showing you're part of something: a sisterhood of women who protect, serve and conquer, whether you're in uniform now, you've hung it up, or you're the one holding the fort at home.

This brand is made by one of you, for all of you.
